Prevent yearly trashing
Perhaps it is time to prevail upon our members of State and Federal Parliament to ask the Police Commissioner to ensure sufficient staff are in place to prevent what has become the yearly trashing and drunken rampage which takes place near Umina Beach Surf Club on Australia Day each year.
For once the law-abiding families and residents of the area should be allowed to picnic in peace on this special day without being afraid of getting a bottle in the head or feet cut by broken glass.
We have been advised by Neighbourhood Watch that residents do not notify crime in the area and as prevention is better than cure perhaps it is time to change that trend.
Would the new Minister for the Central Coast show his interest and encourage a happy and safe day for all?
Please help.
